Spring 2011 Symposium – The Legislative Legacy of Senator Edward Kennedy

On February 1, 2011, the N.Y.U. Journal of Legislation and Public Policy held a
special event at the law school honoring the legislative legacy of Senator
Edward Kennedy. Tributes to Senator Kennedy were delivered by Caroline
Kennedy, Justice Stephen G. Breyer, Thomas Susman, Nick Littlefield, and

Volume 14, Number 2 of the Journal was a special issue dedicated to the
impressive contributions Senator Edward Kennedy made throughout his
forty-six year career in the Senate. The issue honored his life’s work and
analyzed key policy areas including voting rights, legislation to aid
Americans with disabilities, LGBT rights and education, healthcare, and
